GB 16Plex HPV Typing RT-PCR

Brand: Golden Biotechnologies

Intended Use: Diagnosis

Application: Mixtures of primers and probe in this kit are in the form of “multiplex” that identifies the target regions of the E6 and E7 genes of 16 genotypes of HPV virus in two separate mixtures. In case of detection by the mixture, these regions are amplified and the release of fluorescence signals generated by RT-PCR are measured. Internal control in this kit includes special primers and probe design which is specific for Beta-2 microglobulin. In addition to examine the sampling and pattern extraction steps, this internal control determines the acceptable quality of the extracted DNA to prevent false negative results.

Description

Item Description: Human papillomavirus (HPV) is an uncoated DNA virus which belongs to the papilloma family. Because the virus has a strong affinity for cutaneous stratified squamous epithelia, they cause benign skin lesions (warts) and mucous membrane lesions (condyloma), and some types of the virus cause malignancy in epithelial tissues, particularly the cervix and other urogenital system tissues, as well as the head and neck. Due to the development of cervical cancer as one of the most common cancers in women, diagnosis of the disease in the early stages prevents the progression of the disease. GA 16Plex HPV Typing RT-PCR Detection Kit is able to identify 16 common high-risk papilloma virus types (16, 18, 31, 33,35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 53, 56, 58, 59, 66, 67 and 68) based on the identification of E6 and E7 genes by Taqman Real Time PCR method, which can help in more accurate diagnosis these viruses.
